Wakil Ketua Komisi X DPR RI My Esti Wijayanti meminta klarifikasi dari Kementerian Kebudayaan (Kemenbud)
terkait pernyataan yang menyebut pihak penolak penulisan ulang sejarah nasional sebagai kelompok ‘radikal dan sesat’.
Pernyataan tersebut kemudian ramai diperbincangkan publik dan dinilai menyinggung sejumlah kalangan akademik, khususnya sejarawan.
Dalam rapat kerja bersama Menteri Kebudayaan (Menbud) Fadli Zon, My Esti menilai ucapan tersebut tidak mencerminkan sikap dialogis yang semestinya dijunjung dalam penyusunan sejarah bangsa.
“Perbedaan pandangan tidak seharusnya dibalas dengan tudingan sesat atau radikal. Itu menyakitkan bagi kelompok sejarawan lain.
Saya kira pejabat Kemenbud tidak perlu mengatakan hal tersebut,” kata My Esti di Komplek Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, baru-baru ini.
Hal itu kemudian direspons oleh Fadli Zon dalam rapat tersebut. Ia menyatakan belum mengetahui secara rinci konteks pernyataan yang dimaksud.
Selain itu, ia menegaskan bahwa apabila memang pernyataan tersebut benar adanya, maka itu bukanlah sikap resmi dari kementeriannya.
“Kalau pun ada, saya kira itu mungkin keluar sebagai pernyataan pribadi, atau dalam kapasitas beliau sebagai Sejarawan Indonesia. Kami terbuka terhadap masukan, dan jika ada yang tidak tepat, kami juga mohon maaf,” kata Fadli.
